Mama, you wrote: "I saw the picture, Randy. I look at this and recall the horribly staged Clinton shots of him picking up a flag (or was it a cross) at one of the gravesites of our soldiers at Normandy Beach. Oh, lest we forget the perfectly staged Navy ship drifting in the background.

"Stuff like this doesn't turn my key for politics. Key decisions our leaders make while in office do.

"Red beans and rice today. Mama"

MY REPLY: I'm not asking for your vote. I'm asking for your smile. Irony always makes me smile and it's so ironic, isn't it, that folks who get upset over Obama's little missteps forget that their own heroes have done worse? If they're really upset over Obama's hand-over-heart, then they have to be upset over McCain signing the flag, right? And Bush stepping on it? And if they're really upset over Obama not wearing his flag lapel, then they have to be upset over McCain not wearing his sometimes. Right?

Ironic.

If I'm in town I'll see you at lunch. Randy

Ps. Yeah, Clinton at Normandy...U.S. ship posed in the background...at least he didn't land in front of the cameras and get out of his plane wearing a flight uniform complete with codpiece. Remember Bush doing that in front of the MISSION ACCOMPLISHED sign in May 2003? And if the cameras would have turned around, we'd have seen San Diego because the carrier wasn't at sea...it was off the coast of San Diego. So you remember Clinton at Normandy with a ship in the background. I remember Bush on the carrier at San Diego. Ironic. (Sorry. I don't mean to be argumentative here...don't want my lunchroom privileges revoked. Especially on red beans and rice day. LOL.)
