reynoldswrite: no. he said if you make under $5 million PER YEAR, you're middle class. Presumably, if you make $4.9 million per year, you're middle class.

reynoldswrite: i've never heard the phrase "high standards" used in reference to mccain before.

obamamamablog: did you hear his story about the prison camp guard that drew a cross on the ground on christmas day? that brought tears to my eyes.
reynoldswrite: that didn't happen. he got that story from Solzhenytzen's "Gulag Archepelego." it was published more than 30 years ago.

reynoldswrite: either that, or his mind played a trick on him. because Solzhenytzen--who died last week, and who McCain has quoted in the senate and in his own book--definitely wrote it first.
