Obamamablog: did you hear about Obama's Supreme Court nominees?

reynoldswrite: what nominees? he hasn't been elected yet!
obamamamablog: but he's going to appoint nominees who will let homosexual scoutmasters sleep in the same tents with boy scouts
reynoldswrite: says who?
obamamamablog: it's on Brother Dobson's FOCUS ON THE FAMILY website
reynoldswrite: sounds like brother dobson's doing his job
obamamamablog: prophesying?
reynoldswrite: fearmongering. as long as he can stoke those fears, he can raise money.
obamamamablog: well, i don't think they should let homo scoutmasters sleep with boy scouts.
reynoldswrite: so send dobson some money and vote for mccain. that's all they want.
obamamamablog: don't be sacrilegious
reynoldswrite: do you ever feel used and abused by the dobsonites?
obamamamablog: they're just warning us.
reynoldswrite: no, they're just scaring you into sending money. if you aren't scared, you won't pay. do you really believe this stuff?
obamamamablog: about obama and the boy scouts?
reynoldswrite: oh, that's just a small part of it. here's more:

http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2008/10/24/christian-right-intensifi_n_137752.html

obamamamablog: thank God for Brother Dobson. if it wasn't for him, we wouldn't know what was coming.
reynoldswrite: thank god, indeed. if it wasn't for the DOBSONITES, we wouldn't have had bush...al gore would have been president for the past 8 years and now it would be hillary's turn.
reynoldswrite: instead, bush was such a disaster that a first term african-american senator is about to be elected president in a LANDSLIDE!! and he'll have wide margins in the House and Senate to really make some changes.
reynoldswrite: i'm telling you, the lord truly works in mysterious ways
obamamamablog: don't be sarcastic
reynoldswrite: i mean it. next time you send money to dr. dobson, send a little extra and tell him it's from me and tell him i thank him for making obama inevitable!!!!

Reynoldswrite: Oliver Stone's 'W' may make George W. Bush's approval ratings go up

obamamamablog: how?
reynoldswrite: because it shows little George as very human.
obamamamablog: i can't believe you're saying something nice about George W. Bush.
reynoldswrite: actually, i'm saying something nice about Oliver Stone--this movie is a deep-dive into George W. Bush's psyche--a very scary place--and you're trapped in there with him for the whole movie
obamamamablog: must be some movie if it got through to you.
reynoldswrite: i have a heart, too, you know
obamamamablog: you? the man who called cindy mccain a drug addict?
reynoldswrite: she was!
reynoldswrite: she had to go dry out in a facility for four months, although she claims she had a stroke that left her unable to walk and talk.
obamamamablog: maybe she did
reynoldswrite: give me a break
obamamamablog: she's so nice, always standing there with her man. they look like the perfect couple
reynoldswrite: the campaign is the only place she gets to be with him. they've lived apart for the past twenty years.
obamamamablog: why can't you give her a break
reynoldswrite: actually, she's kind of like Bush--sad, pathetic, lonely, rich.
obamamamablog: says who?
reynoldswrite: says people who know her. read this: http://www.nytimes.com/2008/10/18/us/politics/18cindy.html?_r=1&partner=rssuserland&emc=rss&pagewanted=all&oref=slogin

obamamamablog: i'll read it when i get back from church.

Obamamablog: Obama's going to steal this election yet!

reynoldswrite: you must have been watching FOX again
obamamamablog: they've got him this time. ACORN has been committing voter fraud for obama
reynoldswrite: sorry. wrong again. no such thing is going on
obamamamablog: then how come they're finding all these fraudulent registrations in Nevada and Ohio and Missouri ??
reynoldswrite: they haven't found any FRAUD by ACORN
obamamamablog: oh yes they have. I saw it on FOX.
reynoldswrite: the real story is: ACORN pays workers to get out and register new voters. some turn in fake names, dead people, Sponge Bob Square Pants, Scooby Doo, whatever, to pad their fee
obamamamablog: so that's voter fraud
reynoldswrite: no it's not. ACORN itself pulls out the ones that look suspicious and they turn these over to election officials
obamamamablog: because they're trying to pad the voter rolls
reynoldswrite: no. they cull out the bad ones and give them to officials because the law does not allow them to THROW AWAY any registration applications. So they can't throw away the bgad ones. therefore, they try to mark all the bad ones and give them to officials in a separate stack. reynoldswrite: that's why FOX news said, breathlessly, that "the first 2000" applications were bad in one state. The only reason the first 2000 were bad was because those were the ones ACORN ITSELF was warning about.
obamamamablog: so that's 2000 fraudulent votes?
reynoldswrite: No. That's NO fraudulent votes. These are just attempts by temporary contractors to scam some money out of ACORN.
obamamamablog: so why is mccain so upset about it?
reynoldswrite: because mccain has got to be upset about SOMETHING - he's got to lie about SOMETHING because the truth is biased against him. lol
obamamamablog: it's not nice to call him a liar
reynoldswrite: well, if he's so upset about ACORN which has been doing the same thing for decades, why did he make this speech to them in 2006... ??? go here to see it: http://marcambinder.theatlantic.com/archives/2008/10/a_lifetime_ago_sen_john.php

obamamablog: wow! i thought he thought they were crooks. FOX sure had me upset about it.
reynoldswrite: that's their job.

Obamamamablog: bet you were disappointed in the V-P debate

reynoldswrite: why would you say that?
obamamamablog: because Palin didn't fall on her face
reynoldswrite: what do you mean "didn't fall on her face?"
reynoldswrite: she said General McClellan was in charge in Afghanistan
reynoldswrite: he was a Civil War general--you know, back in the 1860's
reynoldswrite: she meant to say General McKiernan
reynoldswrite: she also misquoted him
reynoldswrite: she mangled her sentence again about global warming being caused by man or man being caused by global warming or whatever
obamamamablog: but she stood up to Gwen Ifill
reynoldswrite: yeah, she said she wasn't going to answer Ifill's questions and sure enough she refused to answer 10 different questions, by my count. she also said "energy" about 11-hundred times and her pivots were SO CLUMSY! like saying, "speaking of taxes" when no one was speaking of taxes.
obamamamablog: i thought her quote from Reagan was good, there at the end
reynoldswrite: she didn't know what she was doing
reynoldswrite: she said: "It was Ronald Reagan who said that freedom is always just one generation away from extinction. We don't pass it to our children in the bloodstream; we have to fight for it and protect it, and then hand it to them so that they shall do the same, or we're going to find ourselves spending our sunset years telling our children and our children's children about a time in America, back in the day, when men and women were free."
reynoldswrite: reagan wasn't talking about our enemies. he was warning that we would no longer be free ...if we enacted Medicare!!!!!
obamamamablog: you destroy all my illusions
obamamamablog: and you NEVER say anything positive
reynoldswrite: sarah's tattooed lip-liner works for her
obamamamablog: her lip-liner is tattooed?
reynoldswrite: yeah.
reynoldswrite: and mccain has a glass eye
reynoldswrite: his left one
obamamamablog: i didn't know that
reynoldswrite: that's why he won't look at obama
obamamamablog: now i'll be looking at her lips and his left eye every time they're on tv. i don't know why i waste my time I-M'ing with you.
obamamamablog: you mess me up
reynoldswrite: sorry

Reynoldswrite: i heard you're out of the hospital. welcome back!!

obamamamablog: hope i never have to go through that again!!
reynoldswrite: glad they let you go
obamamamablog: i couldn't afford to stay
reynoldswrite: aren't you insured?
obamamamablog: yeah, but my thingy doesn't believe in long hospital stays
reynoldswrite: your "thingy" ??
obamamablog: you know, my HBO
reynoldswrite: HMO?
obamamamablog: yeah. i always get those two confused
reynoldswrite: well, you own your own business. you can just raise your menu prices to pay your hospital bill
obamamamablog: i'm raising prices anyway but that's because my costs are through the roof.
reynoldswrite: did you lose anything in the stock market?
obamamamablog: i don't want to talk about it
reynoldswrite: well, you'll be happy to know that McCain is going to solve all your problems.
obamamamablog: i'm glad SOMEBODY is!
reynoldswrite: he says he's going to apply the same de-regulation to the health care system that he has applied to the stock market.
obamamamablog: very funny
reynoldswrite: it's true. he actually said it
obamamamablog: ?? i've been flat on my back in the hospital watching the news nonstop for four days and i haven't heard anything like that.
reynoldswrite: you must have been watching FOX
obamamamablog: yeah.
reynoldswrite: well, mccain said it. he wrote it in a magazine article.
reynoldswrite: and then the stock market imploded
reynoldswrite: and then Henry Paulson, the acting President of the United States, turned America into a socialist nation overnight by saddling us with a trillion dollars in debt to ensure the profits of the unregulated robber barons who got us into this mess
obamamamablog: you're about to hyperventilate aren't you?
reynoldswrite: no, i'm just saying--mccain is going around trying to deny his 26 years as a disciple of de-regulation--which caused our current problem. and then his article came out, showing that he's been lying his ass off all week
obamamamablog: i'm not quite sure i follow you
reynoldswrite: you will when you read what mccain wrote. go here: http://krugman.blogs.nytimes.com/2008/09/19/mccain-on-banking-and-health/

reynoldswrite: that says it all, don't it?
obamamamablog: somebody ought to send that to FOX. I think they missed it.
reynoldswrite: imagine that!

Reynoldswrite: do you believe one picture is worth a thousand words?

obamamamablog: that's what i've always heard.
reynoldswrite: well, tell me the two thousand words that these two pictures bring to mind:

Obamamamablog: did you know that Brother Dobson is voting for McCain?

reynoldswrite: how sad.
obamamamablog: what's sad about it?
reynoldswrite: he lied
obamamamablog: mccain?
reynoldswrite: dobson. he said he wouldn't vote for mccain in 2000. he said it again in 2008.
obamamamablog: he has a right to change his mind like anybody else
reynoldswrite: how can you believe anything he says if he votes for somebody who is against everything he stands for
obamamamablog: mccain is not against everything brother dobson stands for
reynoldswrite: i'm not going to argue with you. just read this statement that dr. dobson wrote in 2000. it's about mccain's actual record, not his words. and you tell me if the james dobson you know and love could ever vote for a man like this:

February 17, 2000, Thursday

Dr. James Dobson's Statement on Gary Bauer's Endorsement of Senator McCain

DATELINE: COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo., Feb. 17

Speaking as a private individual and not as the president of Focus on the Family, Dr. James Dobson expressed disagreement yesterday with former presidential candidate Gary Bauer's endorsement of Senator John McCain as Republican nominee for U.S. President.

The Senator has offered no assurances that he intends to appoint a pro-life running mate or pro-life justices to the U.S. Supreme Court. Indeed, he voted for pro-abortion Stephen Breyer and pro-abortion ACLU-activist Ruth Bader Ginsburg for that Court and for David Satcher for Surgeon General, who supports partial-birth-abortion. McCain also voted in support of President Clinton to expand fetal-tissue research.

Furthermore, McCain has accepted huge contributions from the gambling industry and apparently is comfortable with the proliferation of gambling in American society. He has also accepted large contributions from producers of alcohol. McCain is in favor of combat assignments for women in the military, and has sought and received enormous financial and political support from the Log Cabin Republicans and other homosexual activists.

McCain also supports Most Favored Nation status for the brutal regime in China, and voted against our nation's monitoring of Communist Chinese commercial fronts operating in the United States.

He seeks to appease the bloated Federal public school bureaucracy and has refused to support vouchers.

"The Senator," Dobson said, "is being touted by the media as a man of principle, yet he was involved with other women while married to his first wife, and was implicated in the so-called Keating scandal with four other senators. He was eventually reprimanded by the Congress for the 'appearance of impropriety.'

The Senator reportedly has a violent temper and can be extremely confrontational and profane when angry. These red flags about Senator McCain's character are reminiscent of the man who now occupies the White House."

Gary Bauer's endorsement of the Senator is troubling for another reason. When Clarence Thomas was being considered for Justice of the U.S. Supreme Court, Mr. Bauer actively championed his candidacy. However, Warren Rudman who is John McCain's National Campaign Chairman and his most likely choice for U.S. Attorney General was a pro-abortion Senator who opposed confirmation of Clarence Thomas, despite the fact that he voted for him in order to get three federal judgeships approved. He said about the Thomas decision, "It's a vote I'm not proud of."

Given these concerns about McCain, it is difficult to understand how Gary Bauer can support him "with great pride and with absolutely no reservation."

This statement is not intended to imply Dr. Dobson's endorsement of anyone else's candidacy for the presidency -- simply to clarify his lack of support for Senator McCain.

Obamamamablog: Randy, did u survive hurricane Gustav?

reynoldswrite: barely. i went upstate to avoid it, but it followed me like john mccain's eyes following sarah palin's butt. stayed right on my tail
obamamamablog: are you insinuating something?
reynoldswrite: mccain's obviously got the hots for his vp candidate
obamamamablog: says who?
reynoldswrite: see for yourself:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9qUVQDmLf7s&NR=1

reynoldswrite: did you notice him playing with his wedding ring while checking her out?
reynoldswrite: hellooooooo. u there? did you watch it?
obamamamablog: i'm back. yes i saw it.
reynoldswrite: what do you think?
obamamamablog: all men are alike!!!!

Reynoldswrite: are you enjoying the convention?

obamamamablog: i didn't go
reynoldswrite: MAMA! YOU WERE A DELEGATE!
obamamamablog: they picked somebody else
reynoldswrite: WHY?
obamamamablog: i asked them to
reynoldswrite: Y?
obamamamablog: because FOCUS ON THE FAMILY was asking God to send bad weather and sure enough some tornados came on sunday so i just didn't go
reynoldswrite: focus on the family wanted rain on thursday night when obama speaks. obama was a thousand miles away when those tornados dropped on sunday
obamamamablog: i wasn't taking any chances.
reynoldswrite: look at what you missed! a chance to be part of history!
obamamamablog: i'm just fine right here, thank you. a week off from work; staying off my feet; watching my preachers on tv
reynoldswrite: well keep an eye on the weather channel. god isn't SENDING rain to wash out obama, but he's SENDING hurricane gustave to new orleans on the anniversary of katrina.
obamamamablog: God doesn't SEND hurricans
reynoldswrite: pat robertson said god SENT katrina to punish new orleans; so i guess he's sending gustave during the republican convention
obamamamablog: well, that won't affect the republican convention up in st. paul
reynoldswrite: it'll give the stupid news media something to talk about: it'll remind them of bush's incompetence when katrina hit
reynoldswrite: maybe it's a warning for mccain not to pick governor bobby jindal for vice president.
obamamamablog: lightning's going to strike you

Obamamamablog: we were talking about Obama in Sunday School

reynoldswrite: ahhh yes... the Adult Ladies Sunday School Class And Obama Watchdog Committee. do they know i call them that?
obamamamablog: no and i'm not going to tell them. i think it's sacrilegious
reynoldswrite: do y'all ever talk about anything other than Obama
obamamamablog: we go through the lesson--at least part of it--but we do get sidetracked on Obama most weeks
reynoldswrite: really worried about him, huh?
obamamamablog: yes. but it's not for the reason you think
reynoldswrite: and what reason do i think?
obamamamablog: you know
reynoldswrite: so why are all the ladies in your class against him
obamamamablog: because we're PRO-LIFE
reynoldswrite: and???
obamamamablog: and we want a president who'll appoint PRO-LIFE judges
reynoldswrite: and??
obamamamablog: and someday the court will overturn ROE V WADE
reynoldswrite: and??
obamamamablog: and there'll be no more abortions
reynoldswrite: sorry - but overturning roe v wade won't stop abortion
obamamamablog: it's a step
reynoldswrite: do you ever wonder why there's been no progress?
obamamamablog: ???
reynoldswrite: in the 28 years since Francis Schaeffer, Pat Robertson, Jerry Falwell, James Dobson and all that bunch morphed into a political force, we've had republican presidents for 20 years, we have a republican supreme court and we've had a republican congress. how come nothing changed
reynoldswrite: how come there are MORE abortions now, instead of less ?? what have the republicans and the evangelical political leaders actually done besides raise money from the gullible?
obamamamablog: they're making this a pro-life country.
reynoldswrite: no they're not. when mccain named those justices he would never appoint if he were president, he forgot to tell you that he voted for them!! he voted for all 3 pro-life justices that have been appointed since he's been in the senate. he doesn't care about the ISSUE. he cares about GETTING ELECTED.
obamamamablog: he'll try to stop abortions.
reynoldswrite: no he won't. because if the issue ever gets solved, what issue will the religious right use to raise money? what issue will republicans use to make you blindly vote against the other guys ??
obamamamablog: i don't blindly vote against the other guys
reynoldswrite: some people do. every election is only pro- and anti-abortion to many well-intentioned voters who are convinced that god wants them to vote against the Democrat
obamamamablog: you spelled God with a small "g" and Democrat with a large "D"
reynoldswrite: this is an IM, mama - you don't have to worry about punctuation
obamamamablog: i still think God is going to strike you dead
reynoldswrite: he's eventually going to strike everybody dead, mama... but back to what we were talking about...
obamamamablog: abortion
reynoldswrite: this is not about abortion. let's call it what it is: it's about automatically voting for the republicans
obamamamablog: the ladies in my Sunday School class say if we can't protect the unborn, what else matters?
reynoldswrite: maybe they should read frank schaeffer's blog.
obamamamablog: who's Frank Schaeffer ??
reynoldswrite: strong pro-life advocate. always was. still is. son of Francis Schaeffer, who was a big dog among evangelical republicans
obamamamablog: you don't have to tell me who Francis Schaeffer is. or was. rest his soul.
reynoldswrite: Here's something Frank wrote. maybe you could take it to the adult ladies sunday school class and obama watchdog committee , lol

Dear Republican and Pro-Life Friends,

I am aware that Senator Obama is pro-choice. I think his pro-choice views are out of character with his otherwise generous and enlightened world view. But I think there would be less abortions in an Obama era than we have now.

As a born-again Christ-centered believer, Senator Obama offers a spiritual vision of life founded on the Sermon On the Mount. It is the freedom of "we." It is the same view of freedom that my Marine son John learned in boot camp: that the person standing next to you is more important than you are. That concept of freedom is more in keeping with valuing all human life. It will create a climate more friendly to mothers and children.

The poor account for four times the national average of people having abortions, mostly because of economic needs that Republicans don't lift a finger to address. The effort to reduce abortions will be more possible in the Obama era than in a continuation of the hardhearted Bush presidency with McCain. This is all about tone and moral leadership, not law.

The Republican leadership is not pro-life. They are simply against abortion for reasons of political expediency. They have milked the abortion issue, as have the Evangelical and Roman Catholic leadership, for every dime it's worth for fundraising, votes, power and empire-building, but not much has changed.

The Republican right wants us to draw back in horror from Senator Obama because he is pro-choice, but this is the same group working to elect a philanderer who abandoned his wife because she had a disfiguring accident.I’ll be voting for the man who will help us to become a nation that values life. I will be voting for Senator Obama. I am fighting for his election because I am pro-life.

reynoldswrite: this is part of a much longer post... i just pulled out some of the quotes that are relevant to what we are talking about.
reynoldswrite: you there?
reynoldswrite: mama?

Reynoldswrite: did you like mccain's bear story?

obamamamablog: the one about how we spent 3 million dollars to study the dna of bears in montana?
reynoldswrite: yeah. and his punchline was: i don't know if the issue is criminal or paternity.
obamamamablog: very funny. it's a good demonstration of what goes on in washington.
reynoldswrite: well, there actually was such a bill and mccain voted for it.
obamamamablog: then why's he making fun of it.
reynoldswrite: to win some votes.
obamamamablog: doesn't he know we can find out such things?
reynoldswrite: the people he's trying to appeal to aren't paying close attention. they like his zingers, they make up their mind fast, on emotion, and won't be following up. needless to say, the mainstream media won't follow up either. never has. never will. but now there's the internet, the blogosphere, and it's just full of people who have plenty of time to fact-check and who can post the results for the world to see.
obamamamablog: where'd you hear about him voting for the bear dna study?
obamamamablog: so he makes fun of what he voted for?
reynoldswrite: yeah. he knows he's got to make his audience mad--like i said, they vote their emotions and they aren't into checking facts
reynoldswrite: pretty callous, but it works
obamamamablog: if i had time, i'd check factcheck.org/ myself, but i'm getting ready for work.
reynoldswrite: you can take my word for it
obamamamablog: no way.
reynoldswrite: the bear dna study made you mad, the guy who told the bear dna story to make you mad voted for it, and you're so upset about it that you're going to do something about it by voting for the guy who voted for it and told you about it to make you mad to vote for him
obamamamablog: something like that
reynoldswrite: well, the bears of montana and the people who study them thank you for supporting mccain for supporting them, mccain thanks you for getting mad about washington supporting the bears, and the mccain campaign thanks you for being part of the dumbed-down electorate
obamamamablog: somebody's had too much coffee today
reynoldswrite: six cups. i read that if you drink six cups of coffee a day you won't get diabetes. so that's what i do, but i got diabetes anyway
obamamamablog: well, we have something in common, then. too bad.
obamamamablog: by the way, you can't believe everything you read
reynoldswrite: if it's on factcheck.org/ you can

Reynoldswrite: did you hear those lies at Rick Warren's Church?

obamamamablog: if you mean did i watch the interviews from Saddleback Church? yes. and I thought john mccain did real good.
reynoldswrite: i agree. it was the best i ever heard him do. he was slick, glib, fast--he didn't say "uh" or "ah" one single time. He didn't have to think of answers. they were all on the tip of his tongue. one time mccain answered all 3 parts of a 3 part question in advance ...and warren said, "wait, let me ask the question first."
obamamamablog: does that mean mccain's the smartest candidate?
reynoldswrite: it means somebody lied
obamamamablog: are you calling mccain a liar?
reynoldswrite: i'm calling rick warren a liar.
obamamamablog: i hope lightning strikes you dead.
reynoldswrite: warren said while he was questioning obama, mccain was already in the "cone of silence" a special soundproof room in the church. he wasn't.
obamamamablog: says who
reynoldswrite: nbc, cnn, nytimes and various people who saw mccain's motorcade, and warren himself.
reynoldswrite: the part i don't get is warren said "we flipped a coin" and senator obama goes first and senator mccain is in a cone of silence so he can't hear the questions.
reynoldswrite: but mccain wasn't even in the building
obamamamablog: that doesn't mean rick warren lied
reynoldswrite: yes it does. he told a worldwide audience something that was untrue. and then i heard him do it again on CNN
obamamamablog: ???
reynoldswrite: he said he wrote down the first question and gave it to both senators right before the questioning so they'd have a chance to get comfortable with the format. how could he have done that if mccain wasn't even there....??
obamamamablog: if rick warren said it, it must be true.
reynoldswrite: apparently not

Reynoldswrite: did you make more than $5 million last year?

obamamamablog: lol. i wish!
reynoldswrite: well, if you made less than $5 million, you're in the middle class.
obamamamablog: says who?
reynoldswrite: mccain. in the interview with Rick Warren at Saddleback Church.
obamamamablog: so if i've got less than $5 million, McCain thinks i'm middle class.
reynoldswrite: no. he said if you make under $5 million PER YEAR, you're middle class. Presumably, if you make $4.9 million per year, you're middle class.
obamamamablog: high standards.
reynoldswrite: i've never heard the phrase "high standards" used in reference to mccain before.
obamamamablog: don't make fun of a war hero!!!
obamamamablog: did you hear his story about the prison camp guard that drew a cross on the ground on christmas day? that brought tears to my eyes.
reynoldswrite: that didn't happen. he got that story from Solzhenytzen's "Gulag Archepelego." it was published more than 30 years ago.
obamamamablog: are you saying he lied?
reynoldswrite: either that, or his mind played a trick on him. because Solzhenytzen--who died last week, and who McCain has quoted in the senate and in his own book--definitely wrote it first.
obamamamablog: well, I'll swan. it's getting so i don't know what to believe.
reynoldswrite: you can believe obama. he hasn't lied about anything yet.
obamamamablog: maybe he just hasn't got caught.
reynoldswrite: well, who do you want as president--one dumb enough to lie, cheat and plagiarize and get caught... or one so smart he hasn't got caught.
obamamamablog: well, if you put it that way...
reynoldswrite: lol. btw, what's on the menu today?
obamamamablog: fried pork chops, cream corn, turnip greens and carrots.
reynoldswrite: save me a seat and i'll come spend some money with you, help you get into the middle class.
obamamamablog: honey, it'll take a lot more than your lunch ticket to put me in mccain's middle class.
reynoldswrite: lol!

Wednesday, August 6, 2008

Reynoldswrite: did you see Paris Hilton's ad?

obamamamablog: why's everybody talking about paris hilton all of a sudden???
reynoldswrite: because mccain wanted to cut obama down to size after that overseas tour, so he said obama was nothing but a celebrity like paris and britney
reynoldswrite: it was just mccain being desperate--taking obama's popularity and trying to use it against him
obamamamablog: i'm sure obama will respond in kind
reynoldswrite: he doesn't need to. i think paris hilton's ad says it all: http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2008/08/05/paris-hilton-responds-to_n_117137.html

reynoldswrite: send the video to all the ladies in your sunday school class / obama watchdog committee. ya'll can discuss it in class sunday
obamamamablog: not this week. we have a special report on obama and scarlett johanssen

Obamamamablog: obama injected race into the campaign. that's the last straw.

reynoldswrite: mama, don't fall for that. obama isn't making race an issue.
obamamamablog: you're wrong this time. he said he doesn't look like all those presidents on the dollar bill. if that's not racial, what is it.
reynoldswrite: it's a warning about what mccain and his backers will do to make voters afraid of obama.
obamamamablog: saying he doesn't look like all the presidents on the dollar bills is pure-dee-out racist. AND OBAMA IS THE ONE THAT BROUGHT IT UP.
reynoldswrite: mccain brought it up first.
obamamamablog: no he didn't
reynoldswrite: yes he did. mccain's bunch actually ran an internet ad with Obama's face on a dollar bill. here's a copy of it...
reynoldswrite: then the dollar bill turned yellow and blew up. go here to see the full ad: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zPARec32KMI

reynoldswrite: did you watch it?
obamamamablog: unfortunately yes.
reynoldswrite: what do you think?
obamamamablog: I think you're destroying all my illusions about john mccain.
reynoldswrite: the truth is a powerful thing
obamamamablog: whatever.

Reynoldswrite: mama, is your adult ladies Sunday school class and obama watchdog committee still discussing the election?

obamamamablog: every Sunday morning.
reynoldswrite: are they still discussing jesus?
obamamamablog: not so much. mainly obama
reynoldswrite: do the other ladies still think he’s the anti-christ?
obamamamablog: we have all kinds of opinions
reynoldswrite: do y’all ever talk about mccain?
obamamamablog: we already know mccain. What’s to talk about.
reynoldswrite: how about him and Senator Strom Thurmond?
obamamamablog: ???
reynoldswrite: when Thurmond was 92 years old, McCain got mad at him on the Senate floor and they had a scuffle
obamamamablog: well, one little incident doesn’t mean anything. eynoldswrite: He also called Senator Charles Grassley a “fucking jerk” in a committee meeting.
obamamamablog: well, I’m sure he had good reason
reynoldswrite: he screamed in the face of Senator Richard Shelby, he called Senator Pete Domenicii an asshole
reynoldswrite: he screamed “fuck you!” at Senator John Cornyn
obamamamablog: well, those democrats make him mad sometimes
reynoldswrite: but, mama—those are ALL Republicans.
obamamamablog: well, I’ll swanee.
reynoldswrite: Senator Thad Cochran said "The thought of his being president sends a cold chill down my spine...He is erratic. He is hotheaded. He loses his temper and he worries me."
obamamamablog: how do you know all this
Reynoldswrite: I read. Go here: http://www.boston.com/news/nation/articles/2008/01/27/famed_mccain_temper_is_tamed/ or just use Google and put in the word “McCain” along with any of the senators mentioned above, or “McCain temper”
obamamamablog: couldn’t you do the same thing with Obama?
reynoldswrite: nope. Because Obama’s not a hothead. McCain’s hometown newspaper said his temper is volcanic.
reynoldswrite: Senator Bob Smith said: “I have witnessed incidents where he has used profanity at colleagues and exploded at colleagues . . . He would disagree about something and then explode. It was incidents of irrational behavior. We've all had incidents where we have gotten angry, but I've never seen anyone act like that."
reynoldswrite: Oh, here’s a cute one—from college conservatives—go here: http://blog.case.edu/conservativemovement/2008/01/29/john_mccains_top_ten_temper_explosions
obamamamablog: well, even Moses broke the ten commandments and Jesus drove the moneychangers from the temple
reynoldswrite: if you want to talk money changers, mccain’s son just resigned from a bank that federal regulators are seizing.
obamamamablog: lordy mercy, I wish this politics was over. I can’t hardly stand it when people like you make fun of a good man like john mccain.
reynoldswrite: maybe your Sunday school class should talk about what mccain called his wife.
obamamamablog: what?
reynoldswrite: go here: http://blogcritics.org/archives/2008/05/02/194648.php
reynoldswrite: so maybe you could bring up some of these things in your adult ladies Sunday school class this week?
obamamamablog: all very interesting, but we don’t care about all that. Obama’s the one that scares us

Obamamamablog: a lot of people are talking about the surge.

reynoldswrite: you mean the flooding on the Mississippi? is it still surging?
obamamamablog: very funny. i mean the surge in that province
reynoldswrite: Anbar Province
obamamamablog: yeah. that's the one. and that was mccain's idea.
reynoldswrite: the surge had very little to do with peace in anbar
obamamamablog: i watched mccain on katie couric. he had all the details.
reynoldswrite: mama, I hate to break it to you, but mccain got it exactly wrong--totally backwards--and CBS covered for him.
obamamamablog: covered for him how?
reynoldswrite: katic couric asked him a question about the surge. he gave a totally false answer. CBS cut out the false answer and spliced in an answer from another question.
obamamamablog: how do you know they left out his wrong answer?
reynoldswrite: because they posted the entire interview on the internet, but only used the question and the improved answer on the air. Go here: http://www.huffingtonpost.com/ilan-goldenberg/not-a-gaffe-a-fundaemtnal_b_114394.html and here
http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2008/07/22/mccain-gets-history-of-th_n_114419.html
obamamamablog: lord have mercy
reynoldswrite: mccain is not very smart
reynoldswrite: CBS is not very smart
reynoldswrite: anyone who thinks 'the surge' had anything to do with peace in Anbar is not very smart.
obamamamablog: you wouldn't have known without the internet. this internet is going to be the death of us all

Obamamamablog: randy, i hope you're not upset by that New Yorker cover

reynoldswrite: you mean the one you taped to your cash register? I hadn't noticed.
obamamamablog: the Bible says many a true word was spoken in jest.
reynoldswrite: that's an old english proverb...not in the bible.
obamamamablog: well, you hadn't been by lately. I was just wondering if the poster made you uncomfortable.
reynoldswrite: what's to be uncomfortable about? No truth in it. anyone that wants to believe it, more power to them.
obamamamablog: somebody did the same thing about mccain.
reynoldswrite: no--the one about mccain is a real spoof. it has cindy mccain with an armload of stolen prescriptions and there's a constitution of the united states burning in the fireplace. see, there's some basis for that. which makes it satire. there is no basis for any of the obama stuff that was in the new yorker cover.
obamamamablog: so the mccain cover's okay but the obama cover is not.
reynoldswrite: the mccain cover in vanity fair is satire because it contains truth. the obama cover in new yorker is not satire because it's totally false.
obamamamablog: that sounds a little one-sided to me.
reynoldswrite: if you want to post satire on your cash register, then take down the new yorker and post vanity fair.
obamamamablog: that mccain cover is absurd.
reynoldswrite: no the obama cover is absurd. the mccain cover has some truth in it.
obamamamablog: they should ban them all.
reynoldswrite: no, that's freedom of speech. any lunatic, any non-student of history, any low-information editor or voter, has the right to publish their views. it's just surprising sometimes how ill-informed some editors and reporters are. and the people who eat at your restaurant.
obamamamablog: don't start with my customers. they're like family. you, too. been missing you. fried chicken today

reynoldswrite: what if obama got a marriage license for 2nd marriage b4 divorcing 1st wife?

obamamamablog: i'll swanee, did he do that?
reynoldswrite: I'm just saying... if he did would u vote for him?
obamamamablog: some people have no morals.
reynoldswrite: well, would you?
obamamamablog: it doesn't surprise me. i knew there was something shifty about him the first time i saw him.
reynoldswrite: ??? well??? would you vote for him if he got the marriage license for his second marriage while he was still married to wife #1? ??
obamamamablog: no.
reynoldswrite: how about the other ladies in the adult ladies sunday school class?
obamamamablog: no. I don't think any of us would vote for such a sorry man. but i never heard about this b4. did obama really do that?
reynoldswrite: no. obama has only been married once. to michelle.
obamamamablog: wait a minute! is this another one of your trick questions.
reynoldswrite: not a trick question at all. just a morals test.
obamamamablog: did I pass?
reynoldswrite: not if you vote for mccain.
obamamamablog: mccain?
reynoldswrite: HE'S the one who got the marriage license for his second marriage, before he divorced his first wife.
obamamamablog: you complain about all the stuff i send you regarding obama. so why are you sending me equally bad stuff about mccain?
reynoldswrite: the mccain stuff is true. the obama stuff is not. nuff said?
obamamamablog: why should i believe you?
reynoldswrite: if you want to know more, go here: http://q13.trb.com/news/la-na-divorce11-2008jul11,0,2292373.story ... or just google "mccain infidelity"
reynoldswrite: it made nancy reagan so mad she was ticked at him for years. even got the mccain ex-wife a white house job...
obamamamablog: you're destroying all my illusions about mccain
reynoldswrite: i'm telling you the truth. he was a wild and crazy guy.
obamamamablog: he was a hero and a patriot.
reynoldswrite: give me a break: he graduated last in his class at the naval academy, he crashed five planes in his career only one of which was shot down by the enemy
reynoldswrite: not only did he ACT wild and crazy...wilder and crazier than STEVE MARTIN... he even LOOKED LIKE steve martin. here's mccain with his ex wife and family...

obamamamablog: lord have mercy. if he had an arrow through his head he'd look just like steve martin! but i didn't know he was as wild as you say. i guess i'll have to read up on him some more. but i wonder why the news media doesn't cover this stuff?
